Mason, Ohio three-star offensive guard Joseph Spencer is one of the longest-standing commitments on Illinois list for 2012. On Sunday, the 6-4, 270-pound Spencer reacted to the Illini dismissing Ron Zook as head coach.

Spencer is ranked as the nation's No. 23 offensive guard prospect. He picked up first team all-conference honors shortly after his senior season concluded earlier this fall.
